The Wonder Car (8+)
Once upon a time, there was a car. The car used to be was travelling on roads. But it was very slow and all other cars were overtaking it. The car wondered why.
“Why other cars are faster? What am I going to do about it?” it thought day and night.
Another day passed. And night again. And out of the blue the car got an idea! The car needed one more wheel. Maybe, it would help and nobody would overtake it again? So, our car got the fifth wheel. But… it didn’t help. Other cars were still faster and kept on overtaking it.
“Why? Do I need one more wheel?” the car asked itself.
So, it got six wheels. But it didn’t help too! So, what’s to be done? The car thought again. Day and night. Then day and night again. And it got a new idea. It was equally smart as the previous one.
“Maybe, those wheels make me slow,” it pondered.
The car left half of all its wheels. So, there were only three wheels. The car was happy with the decision made and it went on the road. It wanted to go faster, and... crashed into the first pole on the road. Why do they set those poles next to the road? If it were not for the poles!
“Why? Poor me! I had four wheels. Everyone was faster. Then I got five wheels. And I was slow again. Six wheels didn’t help me too. And I got into an accident with three wheels. That’s unfair! I tried everything possible and …impossible!” the car cried loudly.
Other cars stopped and only laughed at our poor car.
They said:
“Shame on you! A trouble-car! It isn’t about wheels. It is about how you drive. It’s about your skills and experience. You need to learn how to drive. Moreover, you have to study traffic rules. And then you can go on the road. We all learn first.”
The car listened to them, of course and decided to heed criticism. It was smart, so it started to learn. After this, it got a driving license. And our car could drive on the roads. Easy and happily. If you see a green car on the road, keep in mind that it isn’t a trouble-car, it is a wonder-car now.
